NC motivation

We have returned to NC and have attended a local dog training workshop entitled "Are we having fun yet?". The first day was a 6 hour ordeal filled with contradictions and confusion and poor methods. Here are some direct quotes, so you can judge for yourself. "Teach the dog that a "pop" with the leash can mean a correction or a good thing, like a motivational "pop"." "How do you keep your dogs attention: never let your dog look away from you." "Pinch collars is the only way to get precision on the heel." "Teach the dog to bark, but only in a motivational way."
It was such "fun" and "motivating" that we did not return for day 2.
